    Course Title: Paediatric First Aid for Working Outdoors



     

    Course Details:

    This 3 session Ofsted approved training is suitable for people who have an interest in the practical application of first aid when working outside. Standard requirements for Paediatric First Aid training will be covered, as well as adaptations necessary for the outdoors.
     
    This training is suitable for anyone taking a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.

     

    Course Outcome:  

    On successful completion you will be issued a Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for three years.
     
    Consider these links to the Bristol Standard:
    D1      Having policies that reflect inclusion, current legislation and local guidance;
    D1      Having policies that reflect the importance of safeguarding children;
    D4      Developing policies and practice that enables children to make the most
              of their play in safe but challenging environment.
    D10    Meeting requirements of current requirement and employment law;
    D10    Ensuring that someone with a first-aid qualification is always on site.

    Price:  Subsidised - £115 (per person) for those working in Early Years, Childcare and/or Playwork within the Bristol Local Authority area.

        

        Non-subsidised - £150 (per person) if:  

     (a)               you work in another part of the Children & Young People sector or    

                      (b)               you work in a setting outside the Bristol Local Authority area.  

     

               Please note: You can only book at the Non-subsidised price on-line. The guidance from  Bristol  City Council on whether Setting's qualify for subsidy has changed! If you think your setting qualifies for subsidised places, please ring PEYTU on: 0117 908 0601 to check!
